Aikido
Academy of
Nebraska’s summer program is a very unique program for
elementary school students since it is the only full-day martial arts based
program in the Omaha area. The program consists of Aikido
mixed with a variety of activities that build character and confidence in
children.
Aikido
Academy of
Nebraska’s summer program includes fieldtrips to various Omaha locations including the Henry Doorly
Zoo, Papillion Police Station, Rotella’s Bakery, Joslyn Art Museum and many
others. Children will also enjoy speakers, weekly community service
activities, on-site activities along with martial arts instruction. The
children will also learn skills such as fire safety, 911 protocols, how to
deal with bullies and team-building among others.
The program also stresses the importance of maintaining
academic studies by teaching weekly lessons in various school subjects and
tutoring where necessary. Aikido

Nebraska’s full-day summer program runs every Monday through
Friday until 6 pm and is located near
Papillion-La
Vista High
School at the corner of 84th and Cary Street.

Monday ~ Cardio
Cardio is a focused exercise on the cardiovascular system to help
improve large motor skills and
promote good health by opening the lungs,
increasing oxygen intake to the body, and increasing circulation.
Tuesday ~ Aikido
Aikido classes are designed to teach non-aggressive self-defense.
It also instills self-discipline, honor, integrity, self-respect and
pride.
Wednesday ~ Bully
System/Team Building Skills
During this time we will focus on teaching the students a bully
system to help improve their self-esteem
and decrease the influence bullies
have over others. We will also
work on team building skills to improve
the student’s ability to work with
others.
Thursday ~ Aikido
Aikido classes are designed to teach non-aggressive self-defense.
It also instills self-discipline, honor,
integrity, self-respect and
pride.
Friday ~ Dojo Games
This is a fun day for the kids to play games and interact with
each other to promote good relationships.
A variety of games will be played including but not limited to; kick
ball, Dodge ball, Freeze tag, Relays,
and tug-of-war.
Parents Night Out
This is a night for parents to get out without their children and
have some adult interaction.
This will be held
on a Saturday evening once a month from 6pm until 10pm.
Cost is $15.00 per child.
