Schools Out for the Summer

Aikido Academy of Nebraska’s summer program is a very unique program for elementary school students since it is the only full-day martial arts based program in the Omaha area. The program consists of Aikido mixed with a variety of activities that build character and confidence in children.

Aikido Academy of Nebraska’s summer program includes fieldtrips to various Omaha locations including the Henry Doorly Zoo, Papillion Police Station, Rotella’s Bakery, Joslyn Art Museum and many others. Children will also enjoy speakers, weekly community service activities, on-site activities along with martial arts instruction. The children will also learn skills such as fire safety, 911 protocols, how to deal with bullies and team-building among others.

The program also stresses the importance of maintaining academic studies by teaching weekly lessons in various school subjects and tutoring where necessary. Aikido Academy of Nebraska’s full-day summer program runs every Monday through Friday until 6 pm and is located near Papillion-La Vista High School at the corner of 84th and Cary Street.
